Job Description :
This position is suited for a highly motivated and energetic
web design engineer who will head a team of junior designers and shall be
responsible for development of high quality customized websites for
tradeindia.com clients.
Experience Required : More than 5 years.
Must have qualities:
(1) Candidate must have excellent visualising flair.
(2) Excellent communication/understanding skills are key requirements for this
position for directly interacting with clients and other department heads.
(3) Candidate should take initiative himself, and enjoy heading team of junior
designers - as well as coordinate with software developement team to ensure
production deadlines under minimal supervision.
(4) Candidate must have experience with web development for large corporates or
government websites.
(5) Be able to manage multiple website projects at the same time.
(6) Must also be able to leverage existing web content management standards and
icon libraries and should have thorough knowledge of Web 2.0 characteristics
and practical usage of its features. Design Engineer should be well versed with
various browser compatibility issues in javascript and css styles.
Technical Skills:
(1) Expert-level proficiency in Web design softwares like Photoshop, Dreamweaver
etc. Expertise of HTML/DHTL coding is critical.
(2) Possess a strong knowledge of up-to-date web design,technologies and web
standards, in particular with respect to concepts of full separation of content
from presentation using CSS(1.0 & 2.0)/text-based table-less layout,
accessibility, cross-browser compatibility techniques.
(3) Must have background writing Javascript libraries from Scratch.
(4) Good knowledge of HTML DOM required.
(5) Conceptual knowledge of AJAX required.
Desirable Skills:
Flash / Flex /Action Script experience is a big plus. A thorough knowledge of
Web 2.0 characteristics and practical usage of its features.
